Pine Island AFC's Zachery Chan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Lake in the 41st minute of play. Benjamin Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Neil Owens put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Zachery Chan. In the 47th minute Denis Lake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachery Chan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Zachery Chan was a little too slow when Neil Owens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-3. When Sterling Gunn fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pine Island AFC's protests and gave Sterling Gunn a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute, Sterling Gunn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Owens in the 75th minute of play forced Pine Island AFC's goalkeeper Zachery Chan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, FC Sao Porto's Neil Owens ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zachery Chan. Zachery Chan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. With an all-out effort, FC Sao Porto's Zachery Chan threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Neil Owens, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
