Lonnie Day sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute Lonnie Day shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dennis Tompkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lonnie Day received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dennis Tompkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Glenside AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Eason came free, but Stefan Chappelle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dana Vogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Chappelle having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Art Abraham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glenside AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Animosity FC the free kick. Dennis Tompkins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lonnie Day's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Graig Weir hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Dana Vogel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Chappelle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Animosity FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Glenside AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Emery Landers took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Mark Eason managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Glenside AFC's Sonny Townsend got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Animosity FC's Sydney Montano got a free kick in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dana Vogel to make the kick off. Glenside AFC's Lonnie Day suffered a concussion in the 51st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Allen Quinn fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Animosity FC's protests and gave Allen Quinn a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Glenside AFC a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Graig Weir, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Animosity FC's Dennis Tompkins. 2-0. If Monty Pace had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Sonny Townsend hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mark Eason in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stefan Chappelle, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Dana Vogel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Animosity FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dana Vogel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Chappelle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Monty Pace's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Tompkins was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, Glenside AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dana Vogel came free, but Stefan Chappelle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Animosity FC's zone, Monty Pace stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Tompkins came out of the goal and Monty Pace tried to chip the ball over his head. After a rather tough play, Glenside AFC's Sonny Townsend got a free kick in the 95th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Animosity FC's Emery Landers tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Glenside AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
