The audience was convinced that Dana Vogel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hugo Donaldson was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Merrill Fuentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Dennis Tompkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Team Whiskey's Alec Pruitt got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Merrill Fuentes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dennis Tompkins. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Octavio Grant hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Dana Vogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Donaldson having to interfere. A collision led to Team Whiskey getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Octavio Grant hit a great ball. Hugo Donaldson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dana Vogel in the 41st minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dana Vogel made a kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Animosity FC got a corner. Team Whiskey's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emery Landers ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Animosity FC's Emery Landers to fire away a dangerous shot which Hugo Donaldson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Allen Quinn during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dana Vogel in the 59th minute of play forced Team Whiskey's goalkeeper Hugo Donaldson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mark Eason got free with Hugo Donaldson in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Merrill Fuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Merrill Fuentes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dennis Tompkins having to make a save. If Alec Pruitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 81st minute, Animosity FC's Andy Harding ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hugo Donaldson. Hugo Donaldson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Asher Russell struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Dennis Tompkins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team Whiskey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merrill Fuentes in the 89th minute of play forced Animosity FC's goalkeeper Dennis Tompkins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merrill Fuentes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Team Whiskey lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
