Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brant Merritt made the kick off and thus started the match. Azzurri's Enrique Diamond got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A.J. Rubin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Brendan Field skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Brendan Field made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brant Merritt in the 10th minute of play. A.J. Rubin scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brendan Field, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mohammad Navarro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tad Stiles having to make a save. In the 22nd minute Brant Merritt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendan Field saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If A.J. Rubin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brant Merritt in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brendan Field saved Pantless Thundergeese from getting behind. A collision led to Pantless Thundergeese getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Wallace Gillis hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Tyrone Blanton sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Brendan Field threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Tyrone Blanton this time. Azzurri's Tad Stiles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mervin Carter in the 30th minute of play. Mohammad Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tad Stiles having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brant Merritt got free with Brendan Field in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The goalkeeper, Tad Stiles, was totally fooled by Pantless Thundergeese's Jorge Sherwood, who 58 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Mohammad Navarro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Tad Stiles made a huge save. After having played for 70 minutes, Brant Merritt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Azzurri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brant Merritt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 75 played minutes Azzurri got a freekick which was hit by Robert Courtney. Monroe Purcell was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, Azzurri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Monroe Purcell to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Jorge Sherwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darryl Clayton during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Azzurri booed when Pantless Thundergeese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darryl Clayton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Azzurri's Tyrone Blanton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pantless Thundergeese. A.J. Rubin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brendan Field made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norbert Cardwell in the 98th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
