Spectators: 7660 (Terracing: 5747, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) Sound Beach's Kristopher Christopher started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kristopher Christopher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Saunders having to interfere. 18 minutes into the game, Kristopher Christopher recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jerry Saunders. Kristopher Christopher showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vance Riggs in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dirk Rich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Douglas Coronado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Randell Coats charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Randell Coats the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 24 played minutes Sound Beach got a freekick which was hit by Randell Coats. Nicky Ryder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerry Saunders having to make a save. If Kristopher Christopher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kristopher Christopher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Jerry Saunders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristopher Christopher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerry Saunders read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Kristopher Christopher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jerry Saunders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Kristopher Christopher reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jerry Saunders. The goal made the score 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Micah Engle to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Randell Coats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Coronado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dirk Rich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Coronado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Dirk Rich made a huge save. In the 65th minute Micah Engle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Rich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Micah Engle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerry Saunders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicky Ryder in the 71st minute of play. In the 77th minute, Douglas Coronado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Riverside fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Nicky Ryder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerry Saunders having to make a save. If Nicky Ryder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vance Riggs charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vance Riggs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
