After 6 minutes, Darryl Clayton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pantless Thundergeese and the SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL players grew even worse after the yellow card. Darryl Clayton kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pantless Thundergeese's zone, Robin Bonilla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendan Field came out of the goal and Robin Bonilla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mitch Cerna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Mervin Carter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th match minute, SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Clayton to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jorge Sherwood who took care of the corner kick. Pantless Thundergeese's Jorge Sherwood was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but A.J. Burt in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A hard and well directed shot from Jorge Sherwood led 23 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's A.J. Burt became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. 0-2 became the score in the 27th minute when Mohammad Navarro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Pantless Thundergeese's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Bonilla came free, but Brendan Field reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mervin Carter in the 32nd minute of play forced SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's goalkeeper A.J. Burt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Brent Epperson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 35 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Brendan Field was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Pantless Thundergeese's Brendan Field proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Pantless Thundergeese from getting a goal against them. Val Bartley hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Pantless Thundergeese's Mervin Carter got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Pantless Thundergeese were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mervin Carter to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonah Rasmussen during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL got a freekick which was hit by Jonah Rasmussen. A.J. Burt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Sherwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Robin Bonilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Brendan Field tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brent Epperson in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brendan Field saved Pantless Thundergeese from getting behind. Trent Healy's late challenge caught a SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trent Healy helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pantless Thundergeese's Trent Healy got a free kick in the 60th minute. Robin Bonilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Brendan Field tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes Pantless Thundergeese got a freekick which was hit by Darryl Clayton. After 70 minutes, Darell Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pantless Thundergeese and the SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Pantless Thundergeese:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL:s goal. In the 72nd minute there was a penalty for SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL. Shayne Kelley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Brendan Field. 1-2. 81 minutes into the match, SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's goal looked a bit too open when Mervin Carter came free, but A.J. Burt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mitch Cerna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendan Field having to interfere. If Mohammad Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's A.J. Burt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mervin Carter in the 89th minute of play. Lucas Arredondo hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
