Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5750,
Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Woody Holley started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Jasper Nelson made a precise shot to the right of King Ray. Alpine's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jarvis Ratliff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without King Ray having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Neil Hardy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 12 minutes, Jasper Nelson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dallas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jasper Nelson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Alpine's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Nelson came free, but King Ray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sol Newman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachariah Garrett having to interfere. 24 minutes into the game, Joshua Banning was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alpine's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Dallas the free kick. Joshua Banning kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. FC Dallas's Wilton Higgins couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alpine. Jarvis Ratliff struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. King Ray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dallas. If Jarvis Ratliff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jasper Nelson in the 32nd minute of play forced Alpine's goalkeeper King Ray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alpine! In the 35th minute there was a penalty for FC Dallas. Wilton Higgins stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving King Ray. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Jarvis Ratliff managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dallas's supporters rose to their feet, but Jarvis Ratliff was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. King Ray breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jasper Nelson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. King Ray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Alpine getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Calvin Burnham hit a great ball. King Ray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Nelson in the 45th minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Jarvis Ratliff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dallas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarvis Ratliff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarvis Ratliff might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over King Ray. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jarvis Ratliff ran back to his position shaking his head. The Alpine players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Dallas were winning 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jasper Nelson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jasper Nelson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alpine's Joshua Banning got his second yellow card of the match in the 56th minute. The referee ordered Joshua Banning off the ground. Joshua Banning hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Jasper Nelson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarvis Ratliff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without King Ray having to interfere. King Ray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasper Nelson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarvis Ratliff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without King Ray having to interfere. In the 70th minute, FC Dallas's Jasper Nelson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind King Ray. King Ray yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 74 minutes into the game, Calvin Burnham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alpine's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Dallas the free kick. Walter Hilton scored 0-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of King Ray, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. King Ray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasper Nelson, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 91st minute, Jarvis Ratliff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alpine's King Ray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper Nelson in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Alpine's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Nelson came free, but King Ray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The long shot by Wilton Higgins in the 96th minute really tested King Ray's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
