In the 6th minute Jasper Nelson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but King Ray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarvis Ratliff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. King Ray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Jasper Nelson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. King Ray was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Alpine:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Dallas:s goal. King Ray had in the 15thth minute some difficulties stopping Wilton Higgins's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 15 minutes into the game, FC Dallas's Wilton Higgins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. King Ray made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Alpine's Noah Cuevas got a free kick in the 21st minute. King Ray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasper Nelson, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Jasper Nelson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jasper Nelson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without King Ray having to interfere. Jasper Nelson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. King Ray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarvis Ratliff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the last second King Ray throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jasper Nelson in the 39thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 42nd minute Jasper Nelson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but King Ray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Alpine's King Ray got control of the ball when Jarvis Ratliff tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 44 played minutes Alpine got a freekick which was hit by Orville Garrett. Jasper Nelson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without King Ray having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarvis Ratliff got free with King Ray in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Woody Holley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sol Newman got free with Zachariah Garrett in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes into the match, Alpine's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Nelson came free, but King Ray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sol Newman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachariah Garrett having to interfere. King Ray stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jasper Nelson's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarvis Ratliff in the 73rd minute of play forced Alpine's goalkeeper King Ray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Joshua Banning was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alpine's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Dallas the free kick. In the 74th minute, Joshua Banning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarvis Ratliff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Woody Holley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachariah Garrett having to interfere. If Jarvis Ratliff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarvis Ratliff in the 88th minute of play forced Alpine's goalkeeper King Ray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Neil Hardy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. King Ray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joshua Banning could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Zachariah Garrett made a huge save. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Dallas fully deserved thier win.
