After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Jerold Jarvis managed to get in a good position for a shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck King Ray prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abraham Houston kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The Valparaiso C.F. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The wind increased when Woody Holley made the kick off in the second half. If Jerold Jarvis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The supporters of Alpine booed when Valparaiso C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joesph Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luther Wolfe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Alpine's goalkeeper King Ray, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. King Ray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luther Wolfe in the 87th minute of the match. If Jerold Jarvis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Valparaiso C.F.. Karl Rowley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving King Ray. 1-2.
