Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Josef Maher started the match with the kick off. Jasper Nelson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarvis Ratliffs short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Yong Coffman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. DeMarcus Whitfield kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 25 minutes, Neil Hardy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Dallas and the Cornville players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, FC Dallas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Hardy to maneuver through the defense. DeAngelo Hernandez hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Jarvis Ratliff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cornville booed when FC Dallas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Brunson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarvis Ratliff in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yong Coffman saved Cornville from getting behind. After 54 minutes of play FC Dallas's Andreas Brunson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Andreas Brunson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Jarvis Ratliff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walter Hilton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yong Coffman having to make a save. 63 minutes into the game, Jarvis Ratliff cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Yong Coffman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cornville's Bart Elder got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jarvis Ratliff took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yong Coffman. Yong Coffman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jarvis Ratliff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Yong Coffman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarvis Ratliff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jarvis Ratliff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neil Hardy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yong Coffman having to interfere. When Jarvis Ratliff came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the FC Dallas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarvis Ratliff couldn't finish the play. Yong Coffman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Hilton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josef Maher was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Cornville's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. FC Dallas's Jarvis Ratliff got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Neil Hardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Jarvis Ratliff made a precise shot to the right of Yong Coffman. Cornville's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. There was no doubt that FC Dallas were the better team. FC Dallas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
