Spectators: 6787 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 0) Okolona's Daren Walls started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Okolona's Sammy Chang got control of the ball when Jerold Jarvis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sammy Chang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luther Wolfe, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Jerold Jarvis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valparaiso C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerold Jarvis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute Luther Wolfe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Chang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luther Wolfe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Sammy Chang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bo Gallagher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daren Walls in the 30th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Okolona's Daren Walls sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bo Gallagher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 39 minutes, Jim Lofton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Okolona and the Valparaiso C.F. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Okolona's Jim Lofton got a free kick in the 39th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Sammy Chang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerold Jarvis, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Luther Wolfe struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Sammy Chang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valparaiso C.F.. Sammy Chang came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Valparaiso C.F.'s Luther Wolfe. But to his dismay, Luther Wolfe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Valparaiso C.F.'s Lucien Allison got a free kick in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, Valparaiso C.F.'s Bo Gallagher got control of the ball when Zachariah Kaufman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Okolona's Zachariah Kaufman got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Luther Wolfe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerold Jarvis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sammy Chang having to interfere. Luther Wolfe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Okolona's Sammy Chang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerold Jarvis in the 87th minute of play. The referee gave Valparaiso C.F. a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Karl Rowley, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Okolona's Sammy Chang. 2-0.
