Brett Lyon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wes Boyles having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Antonio Root got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Milan Aguilera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cristobal Ivy showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 78 minute of play. Wes Boyles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Art Henson in the 84th minute of the match. Earl Gant charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Earl Gant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earl Gant to maneuver through the defense. Wes Boyles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brett Lyon in the 88th minute of play.
