Spectators: 7700 (Terracing: 5817, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Allan Samuels kicked off to start the match. Dillon Esquivel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Samuels in the 4th minute of the match. Vance Woodall charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vance Woodall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dillon Esquivel came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Gotham City Athletic's Allan Samuels. But to his dismay, Allan Samuels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Elvis Huston made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Vance Woodall sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Star FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Barber came free, but Dillon Esquivel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Star FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Charlton Maynard hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Rene Denson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charlton Maynard to make the kick off. If Allan Samuels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dillon Esquivel made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Allan Samuels sent off a good shot on target. Don Acero's late challenge caught a Star FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Don Acero helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Star FC booed when Gotham City Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reuben Parr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gotham City Athletic were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Star FC's much stronger midfield.
