The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Omar Albert during the 3rd minute. After some careless play in the Avluca city defense, Bennett Ledford kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marvin Katz. The Avluca city fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marvin Katz should have stopped the shot. After having played for 88 minutes, Bennett Ledford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Star FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bennett Ledford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Charlton Maynard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marvin Katz was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Dillon Esquivel made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Errol Bacon sent off a good shot on target. Charlton Maynard charged in rather forcefully in the 99th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charlton Maynard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Star FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
