Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Star FC's Charlton Maynard started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Austin Benedict received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Dillon Esquivel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ethan Healy came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Star FC's Charlton Maynard. But to his dismay, Charlton Maynard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Devin Coley might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dillon Esquivel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Devin Coley ran back to his position shaking his head. Star FC's Dillon Esquivel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austin Benedict in the 25th minute of play. Dillon Esquivel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Devin Coley in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the game, La Joya's Devin Coley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dillon Esquivel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to Star FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Cary Good hit a great ball. La Joya's Loren Torres shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dillon Esquivel but with some difficulty. Dillon Esquivel didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 3-1. Austin Benedict hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Austin Benedict made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Joya's goalkeeper Ethan Healy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, La Joya's Austin Benedict sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dillon Esquivel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Austin Benedict sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 68th minute of the match Bo Saunders sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dillon Esquivel skillfully saved the ball. The La Joya fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when La Joya's Austin Benedict looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, La Joya's Eli Elder got a free kick in the 74th minute. A collision led to Star FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Dudley Summers hit a great ball. Devin Coley might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dillon Esquivel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, Star FC's Vance Woodall got a free kick in the 86th minute. Dillon Esquivel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Austin Benedict's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After 87 minutes, Austin Benedict made it 5-1 with a short kick to the right side. Star FC's Dillon Esquivel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Austin Benedict fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dillon Esquivel having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Joya fully deserved thier win.
