Geoff Askew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Rosas having to interfere. In the 7th minute, Mason Franklin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 8 minutes, Geoff Askew managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Longview Heights FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geoff Askew was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Longview Heights FC's Geoff Askew got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Longview Heights FC's Geoff Askew in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Devin Newby kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mason Franklin in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Rosas saved América de Cali from getting behind. In the 28th minute Jackson Denton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Rosas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geoff Askew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Damian Rosas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damian Rosas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mason Franklin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 47 minutes, Mason Franklin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Longview Heights FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mason Franklin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Devin Newby stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Mason Franklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Rosas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geoff Askew struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Damian Rosas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Longview Heights FC. After 53 minutes, Trinidad Raymond mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the América de Cali and the Longview Heights FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Trinidad Raymond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in América de Cali's zone, Geoff Askew stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Rosas came out of the goal and Geoff Askew tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alistair Andrade hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Devin Newby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Theo Acuna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, Longview Heights FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alistair Andrade to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Devin Newby's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theo Acuna was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Devin Newby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Raymond Spicer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Acuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Longview Heights FC's Jackson Denton got a free kick in the 69th minute. Theo Acuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devin Newby in the 73rd minute of the match. América de Cali's Devin Newby got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Longview Heights FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Spicer came free, but Theo Acuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Geoff Askew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theo Acuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Spicer in the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Mason Franklin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Rosas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. América de Cali's Raymond Spicer got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raymond Spicer took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Theo Acuna. Theo Acuna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The América de Cali support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
