Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jude Powers took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nicholas McIntosh kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Cherryvale's Cobi Goodwin got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Great Lakes FC's Wilfred Rosado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Great Lakes FC from getting a goal against them. Reed Bateman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terrell Whitmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Doug Bragg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reed Bateman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Tim Rosas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dean Novak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfred Rosado having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Jude Powers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wilfred Rosado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wilfred Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daryl Rose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tim Rosas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfred Rosado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Jude Powers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Wilfred Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfred Rosado came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Cherryvale's Tim Rosas. But to his dismay, Tim Rosas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jude Powers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Wilfred Rosado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Great Lakes FC's goalkeeper Wilfred Rosado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Jude Powers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfred Rosado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfred Rosado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tim Rosas in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Great Lakes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jude Powers came free, but Wilfred Rosado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Doug Bragg to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Great Lakes FC's Sam Farrell got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Tim Rosas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Cherryvale's Jude Powers in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Great Lakes FC's goalie prevented a goal. Wilfred Rosado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daryl Rose, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Tim Rosas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef Colbert hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Doug Bragg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Reed Bateman. The goal made the score 2-1. Wilfred Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Rosas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dean Novak's late challenge caught a Great Lakes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dean Novak helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Cherryvale's Dean Novak got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Great Lakes FC's Doug Bragg, in the 68th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Great Lakes FC. Tim Rosas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jude Powers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilfred Rosado having to make a save. Wilfred Rosado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daryl Rose, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
