After 13 played minutes Luther Bass rounded Longview Heights FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Mason Franklin sped through FC Barcelona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilberto German. Gilberto German took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoff Askew, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto German made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mason Franklin in the 30th minute of play. If Geoff Askew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Truman Franklin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Luther Bass reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Theo Acuna. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 48th minute, Mason Franklin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mason Franklin was the one to do the kick off. When Geoff Askew came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Longview Heights FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geoff Askew couldn't finish the play. Longview Heights FC's Theo Acuna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luther Bass in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute of the match Ian Rouse sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Theo Acuna skillfully saved the ball. Longview Heights FC's Theo Acuna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sol Muniz in the 72nd minute of play. Mason Franklin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto German having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Longview Heights FC's goalkeeper Theo Acuna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Longview Heights FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Sanford Hawk hit a great ball. Ian Rouse did an outstanding performance 80 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-2 to the right of an irritated Theo Acuna in the goal. Wayne Joseph struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Theo Acuna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Barcelona. Geoff Askew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto German having to interfere. The supporters of Longview Heights FC booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sol Muniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute, Bronson McKinley sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Barcelona's Gilberto German didn't even have to move. FC Barcelona's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
