Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rex Pringle started the match with the kick off. After 8 played minutes Aiea AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gavin Colbert. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chase Mueller in the 10th minute of play forced Cherryvale's goalkeeper Reed Bateman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Jude Powers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aiea AFC's Mario Bliss was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Cherryvale's goal looked a bit too open when Rex Pringle came free, but Reed Bateman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aiea AFC's Mario Bliss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Novak in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes of play, Cherryvale's Tim Rosas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mario Bliss was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tim Rosas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes, Garth Bridges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aiea AFC and the Cherryvale players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Aiea AFC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Garth Bridges hit a great ball. When Dean Novak came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Cherryvale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dean Novak couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Daryl Rose got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Dean Novak took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Mario Bliss to make any attempt to save it. Daryl Rose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cherryvale's Dean Novak got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jude Powers to make the kick off. When Dean Novak came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Cherryvale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dean Novak couldn't finish the play. The Cherryvale fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Cherryvale's Jude Powers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jude Powers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cherryvale's supporters rose to their feet, but Jude Powers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Bliss breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jude Powers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Aiea AFC's zone, Daryl Rose stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Bliss came out of the goal and Daryl Rose tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute of the match, Rex Pringle tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Reed Bateman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jude Powers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mario Bliss having to make a save. In the 80th match minute, Aiea AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garth Bridges to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Dean Novak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cherryvale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Cherryvale's Reed Bateman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavin Colbert in the 85th minute of play. Aiea AFC's Mario Bliss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jude Powers in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jude Powers in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mario Bliss saved Aiea AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Rosas in the 94th minute of play forced Aiea AFC's goalkeeper Mario Bliss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cherryvale had played much better football throughout.
