Angelo Roark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenny Pierce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Reuben Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29th play minutes Brady Knox shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Angelo Roark and just under the crossbar into goal. If Kenny Pierce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Burrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Angelo Roark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montgomery City AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kenny Pierce 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. After the first half Montgomery City AFC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kenny Pierce was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Glen Rock AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marlon Fulton to maneuver through the defense. If Emanuel Burrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glen Rock AFC's Angelo Roark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Burrell in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Glen Rock AFC's Casey Rosado got a free kick in the 59th minute. Angelo Roark was a little too slow when Emanuel Burrell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kenny Pierce in the 74th minute of play forced Montgomery City AFC's goalkeeper Reuben Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Marlon Fulton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glen Rock AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marlon Fulton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emanuel Burrell struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Angelo Roark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montgomery City AFC. Emanuel Burrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Glen Rock AFC's Angelo Roark got control of the ball when Brady Knox tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Burrell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Roark was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. If Marlon Fulton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
