The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Samuel Simon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Leonardo Katz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Eating Grapes booed when Burien AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufus Meyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Burien AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Griffith came free, but Leonardo Katz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Katz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Simon's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuel Simon in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Katz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 22 minutes into the match, Eating Grapes's goal looked a bit too open when Ervin Patrick came free, but Brett Gallardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Burien AFC's Leonardo Katz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Griffith in the 25th minute of play. Brett Gallardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ervin Patrick in the 27th minute of play. Leonardo Katz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Simon in the 29th minute of play. Leonardo Katz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Simon in the 31st minute of the match. Samuel Simon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Leonardo Katz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elias Dobbins's late challenge caught a Eating Grapes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Dobbins helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Burien AFC got a freekick which was hit by Elias Dobbins. Leonardo Katz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Griffith, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Joshua Griffith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ervin Patrick was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Simon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leonardo Katz firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 57th match minute, Eating Grapes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Gaston to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Burien AFC's Leonardo Katz got control of the ball when Rich Valentine tried to sneak it across the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Burien AFC's goalkeeper Leonardo Katz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Simon. In a very dangerous position, a player in Eating Grapes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Burien AFC. In the 75thth minute of the game Rufus Meyer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eating Grapes's Brett Gallardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 76th minute, Rich Valentine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Burien AFC's goalkeeper Leonardo Katz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Simon. Eating Grapes's Brett Gallardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ervin Patrick in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Burien AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Samuel Simon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnoldo Goss in the 87th minute of play forced Eating Grapes's goalkeeper Brett Gallardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Burien AFC's goalkeeper Leonardo Katz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Simon. Rich Valentine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Katz having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Samuel Simon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leonardo Katz. Samuel Simon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Burien AFC's zone, Rich Valentine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Katz came out of the goal and Rich Valentine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eating Grapes's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
