Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rufus Meyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 33 in the game by Isidro Henry from a close distance when the talented Leonardo Katz managed to make a qualified save. Burien AFC's players were relieved. In the 38th minute Ervin Patrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Clement saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rufus Meyer in the 39th minute of play forced Rochester City's goalkeeper Alan Clement to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elias Dobbins got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Burien AFC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Elias Dobbins hit a great ball.

Rochester City's Christian Kirkpatrick got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
