When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Ollie Eason took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jeramy Goode to make any attempt to save it. If Lawrence Medina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Dana Marcus ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Conrad Horton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jeramy Goode made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lawrence Medina in the 25th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Harper in the 53rd minute of play forced Annapolis United FC's goalkeeper Jeramy Goode to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Annapolis United FC's zone, Lawrence Medina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeramy Goode came out of the goal and Lawrence Medina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ollie Eason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st match minute, Annapolis United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donny Prince to maneuver through the defense. Lawrence Medina might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeramy Goode. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lawrence Medina ran back to his position shaking his head. Ollie Eason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeramy Goode having to interfere. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Ollie Eason sped through Annapolis United FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jeramy Goode. In the 74th minute, Dana Marcus fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a little luck, Crystal Cove F.C.'s Conrad Horton got control of the ball when Randy Frost tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lawrence Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeramy Goode having to interfere. Randy Frost received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Conrad Horton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Crystal Cove F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Annapolis United FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
