With a little luck, Cincinnati Strikers's Alistair Acuna got control of the ball when Luke Myles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ezra Hawk kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Alistair Acuna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willy Bower, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Cincinnati Strikers's goalkeeper Alistair Acuna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luke Myles. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The referee ignored Cincinnati Strikers's protests and gave Jacques Coppack a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of F.C. Rapid booed when Cincinnati Strikers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacques Coppack didn't get a good kick on the ball.
