Terry Canales started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Central Malaver's goal looked a bit too open when Terry Canales came free, but Marlon McIntosh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuck Morton in the 6th minute of play forced Central Malaver's goalkeeper Marlon McIntosh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reuben Nguyen during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Reuben Nguyen kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Newman's zone, A.J. Lin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nathanial Carlson came out of the goal and A.J. Lin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chuck Morton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Marlon McIntosh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marlon McIntosh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chuck Morton in the 31st minute of the match. If Craig Goodson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Craig Goodson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nathanial Carlson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marlon McIntosh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chuck Morton in the 41st minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Craig Goodson to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, one of Newman:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Newman. In the 62nd minute, A.J. Lin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nathanial Carlson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Chuck Morton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Marlon McIntosh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Central Malaver's A.J. Lin, in the 72nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Central Malaver. Central Malaver's A.J. Lin got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 76 minutes, Houston Mosley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newman and the Central Malaver players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Houston Mosley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurice Chadwick, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 78th minute, Domingo Wolfe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nathanial Carlson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from A.J. Lin in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Craig Goodson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Central Malaver's supporters rose to their feet, but Craig Goodson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nathanial Carlson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Houston Mosley hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Nathanial Carlson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Craig Goodson in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Chuck Morton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chuck Morton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 98 minutes into the match, Craig Goodson notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Newman's Nathanial Carlson. Nathanial Carlson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Newman players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Central Malaver.
