Jesus Baron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lyle Wilhelm charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lyle Wilhelm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jerry Busch's late challenge caught a Newman's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerry Busch helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Kloud 9 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Busch to maneuver through the defense. Dustin Segura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Terry Canales's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Newman's Nathanial Carlson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernie Lutz in the 19th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Terry Canales in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dustin Segura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dustin Segura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terry Canales, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Chuck Morton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Terry Canales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Newman's Terry Canales got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dustin Segura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chuck Morton in the 43rd minute of the match. A collision led to Newman getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Reuben Nguyen hit a great ball. If Willard Lewis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Terry Canales made a kick off. Dustin Segura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terry Canales, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Terry Canales came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Newman fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Terry Canales couldn't finish the play. If Terry Canales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chuck Morton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Dustin Segura when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 76 played minutes Kloud 9 FC got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Baron. Newman's Terry Canales got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Terry Canales struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Dustin Segura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newman. A collision led to Kloud 9 FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Derick Watson hit a great ball. Chuck Morton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Dustin Segura skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 92 played minutes Kloud 9 FC got a freekick which was hit by Jerry Busch. The Kloud 9 FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
