Alistair Acuna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Craig Goodson in the 19th minute of play. Marlon McIntosh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daren Atkinson in the 31st minute of the match. Marlon McIntosh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fletcher Jarvis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fletcher Jarvis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daren Atkinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 47 minutes into the match, A.J. Lin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alistair Acuna. Cincinnati Strikers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that A.J. Lin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The Central Malaver players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cincinnati Strikers were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Craig Goodson to make the kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Central Malaver's goalkeeper Marlon McIntosh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Daren Atkinson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marlon McIntosh. That made the score 1-3 in the 59 minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Daren Atkinson lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Marlon McIntosh. A.J. Lin might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alistair Acuna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. A.J. Lin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute, A.J. Lin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Central Malaver's Marlon McIntosh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Central Malaver from getting a goal against them. A.J.
