Spectators: 7805 (Terracing: 5855, Seating: 1795, VIP seats: 155) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when D.J. Youngblood took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dwayne Vaughn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ace Acevedo in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldo Schaefer during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ALIANZA FC's Osvaldo Schaefer got a free kick in the 6th minute. Jackson Barth, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Ace Acevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. ALIANZA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ace Acevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dwayne Vaughn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dwayne Vaughn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Schaefer in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, ALIANZA FC's Bill Hopson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bill Hopson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ALIANZA FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bill Hopson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 25 minutes into the match, Pontiac's goal looked a bit too open when Ace Acevedo came free, but Dwayne Vaughn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wayne Crouch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the game, D.J. Youngblood was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pontiac's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ALIANZA FC the free kick. D.J. Youngblood kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pontiac's zone, Norman Kern stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dwayne Vaughn came out of the goal and Norman Kern tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamin Reilly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from D.J. Youngblood in the 32nd minute of play. Pontiac's Dwayne Vaughn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ace Acevedo in the 34th minute of play. Juan McGowan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dwayne Vaughn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dwayne Vaughn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lance Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ace Acevedo in the 40th minute of play forced Pontiac's goalkeeper Dwayne Vaughn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dwayne Vaughn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lance Bautista's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Dwayne Vaughn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ace Acevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boyd Ochoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Reilly having to interfere. Dwayne Vaughn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan McGowan in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ace Acevedo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, ALIANZA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Kern to maneuver through the defense. If Juan McGowan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan McGowan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dwayne Vaughn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Giuseppe Moon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pontiac's Dwayne Vaughn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan McGowan in the 68th minute of play. Ace Acevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dwayne Vaughn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lyle Stoddard during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pontiac getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Lyle Stoddard hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Pontiac's Harry Cordova got a free kick in the 74th minute. Ace Acevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dwayne Vaughn having to interfere. The supporters of ALIANZA FC booed when Pontiac was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Cordova didn't get a good kick on the ball. ALIANZA FC's Reyes Hanson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ronald Cerna in the 84 minute of the game. When Reyes Hanson came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the ALIANZA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reyes Hanson couldn't finish the play. Ace Acevedo struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Dwayne Vaughn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ALIANZA FC. In the 90th minute, Ace Acevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norman Kern sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Norman Kern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ALIANZA FC's Benjamin Reilly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boyd Ochoa in the 95th minute of play.
