In a very dangerous position, a player in Wood River FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Willie Reilly, was totally fooled by Philadelphia Sainty's Tristan Bradshaw, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ivan Sprague's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Cortez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Philadelphia Sainty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bronson Davies to maneuver through the defense. Albert Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendan Ferreira in the 34th minute of the match. Ivan Sprague sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philadelphia Sainty's Albert Cortez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Sprague in the 41st minute of play. Ivan Sprague fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Cortez having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Sprague stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, David Patterson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Derrick Coulter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willie Reilly having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Carl Sosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Philadelphia Sainty's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ivan Sprague fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jesse Vogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that David Patterson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willie Reilly was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. If Derrick Coulter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tristan Bradshaw kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes in the game Brendan Ferreira got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Eddie Crum kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Ivan Sprague sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 88th minute, Jesse Vogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Ivan Sprague got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesse Vogel during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wood River FC's Jesse Vogel got a free kick in the 95th minute.
