In the 9th minute Ronny Ingram shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desmond Loomis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilber Calloway could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Waylon Holmes made a huge save. 19 minutes into the match, Benjamin Wilkins dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Waylon Holmes, 1-0. When Rolf Irizarry fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored St. Petersburg's protests and gave Rolf Irizarry a yellow card for diving instead. Rolf Irizarry kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to St. Petersburg getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Garth Avila hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Manhasset Hills FC's Shane Krause sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Desmond Loomis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 27 minutes, Jon Lynn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St. Petersburg and the Manhasset Hills FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Jon Lynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waylon Holmes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilber Calloway in the 31st minute. Ronny Ingram fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desmond Loomis having to interfere. Shane Krause sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, St. Petersburg's Jon Lynn got a free kick in the 37th minute. If Ronny Ingram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waylon Holmes made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Wilber Calloway sent off a good shot on target. Ronny Ingram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shane Krause fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desmond Loomis having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Krause in the 52nd minute of play forced St. Petersburg's goalkeeper Desmond Loomis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilber Calloway recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Wilkins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waylon Holmes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Manhasset Hills FC's Travis Cormier got a free kick in the 57th minute. Wilber Calloway struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Waylon Holmes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. Petersburg. After a defensive mix-up in St. Petersburg's zone, Ronny Ingram stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Desmond Loomis came out of the goal and Ronny Ingram tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Manhasset Hills FC's Vincenzo Landreth got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Wilber Calloway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waylon Holmes having to interfere. A collision led to Manhasset Hills FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Travis Cormier hit a great ball. When St. Petersburg's Wilber Calloway in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manhasset Hills FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manhasset Hills FC's goalkeeper Waylon Holmes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benjamin Wilkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Waylon Holmes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, St. Petersburg could leave the field as winners, despite Manhasset Hills FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
