Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bailey Wooten started the match with the kick off. 6 minutes into the match, Canal Fulton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bailey Wooten came free, but Erik Bagley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry Benton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Bagley having to interfere. Blake Burger hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Clayton Gardner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richie Keys read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Charles City's zone, Reynaldo Herbert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richie Keys came out of the goal and Reynaldo Herbert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harry Benton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rudolf Suarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richie Keys having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Herbert in the 22nd minute of play forced Charles City's goalkeeper Richie Keys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudolf Suarez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Richie Keys made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bailey Wooten in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Bagley saved Canal Fulton FC from getting behind. When Melvin Marin fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canal Fulton FC's protests and gave Melvin Marin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Canal Fulton FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Melvin Marin hit a great ball. After 37 minutes of play, Charles City's Harry Benton made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Erik Bagley was left in no man's land by his defense there! During the 43rd minute of the match Melvin Marin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Melvin Marin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 44 played minutes Canal Fulton FC got a freekick which was hit by Melvin Marin. Bailey Wooten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Rudolf Suarez made the kick off in the second half. Richie Keys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Suarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd match minute, Charles City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blake Burger to maneuver through the defense. Erik Bagley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bailey Wooten in the 58th minute of play. Canal Fulton FC's Erik Bagley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bailey Wooten in the 62nd minute of play. Rusty Hadley kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Charles City's Bailey Wooten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Bagley. That made the score 0-3 after 71 minutes of play. If Bailey Wooten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Bailey Wooten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bailey Wooten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Bagley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Charles City's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
