Yonkers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dexter Jeffers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Minor during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mankato booed when Yonkers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Minor didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Yonkers's Gregory Crowe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Johnathon Gallo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Uribe in the 18th minute of play forced Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes, Mankato's Cliff Schulz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dylan Pryor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mankato reached it. Garrett Casey hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Dexter Jeffers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mankato's supporters rose to their feet, but Dexter Jeffers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dylan Pryor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the match, Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregory Crowe. Johnathon Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc Ferris in the 34th minute of the match. If Marc Ferris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norman Bergman in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dylan Pryor saved Yonkers from getting behind. Gregory Crowe was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Yonkers's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marc Ferris was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Marc Ferris made a precise shot to the right of Johnathon Gallo. Mankato's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Dylan Pryor made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Norman Bergman sent off a good shot on target. Norman Bergman took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dylan Pryor. Dylan Pryor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dexter Jeffers in the 66th minute of play forced Yonkers's goalkeeper Dylan Pryor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mankato's Norman Bergman in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yonkers's goalie prevented a goal. In the 85th match minute, Yonkers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wyatt Carrington to maneuver through the defense. Dexter Jeffers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dylan Pryor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Mankato's Johnathon Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Ferris in the 91st minute of play. Tony Uribe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Wyatt Carrington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yonkers were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Mankato to leave the ground with a draw.
