Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Canal Fulton FC's Reynaldo Herbert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Colby Comer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Anthony McAlpin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Bagley having to interfere. After some careless play in the Atherton FC defense, Reynaldo Herbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Colby Comer. The Atherton FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Colby Comer should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Atherton FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Cobi Key hit a great ball. Colby Comer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Herbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Anthony McAlpin made the kick off in the second half. Rudolf Suarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 53rd minute, Vito Boone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colby Comer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rudolf Suarez went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Canal Fulton FC's zone, Salvatore Morgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Bagley came out of the goal and Salvatore Morgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salvatore Morgan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erik Bagley having to make a save. Anthony McAlpin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erik Bagley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rudolf Suarez got free with Colby Comer in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rudolf Suarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Atherton FC's Colby Comer got control of the ball when Rudolf Suarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anthony McAlpin in the 82nd minute of play forced Canal Fulton FC's goalkeeper Erik Bagley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Atherton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Herbert came free, but Colby Comer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vito Boone during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Canal Fulton FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
