Wilton Guillory sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes Elkhorn got a freekick which was hit by Logan Stockton. With a little luck, Elkhorn's Dirk Dubois got control of the ball when Wilton Guillory tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Elkhorn's zone, Wilton Guillory stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dirk Dubois came out of the goal and Wilton Guillory tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th match minute, Elkhorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeffrey Barnes to maneuver through the defense. Sonny Storey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Elkhorn's Dirk Dubois got control of the ball when Wilton Guillory tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Sonny Storey managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sacachispas's supporters rose to their feet, but Sonny Storey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dirk Dubois breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilton Guillory got free with Dirk Dubois in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Kimble in the 33rd minute of play forced Sacachispas's goalkeeper Eldon Dennis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Sacachispas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Elkhorn:s goal. Sonny Storey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk Dubois having to interfere. Dirk Dubois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton Guillory in the 47th minute. After the first half Elkhorn were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sonny Storey made a kick off. In the 59th minute Wilton Guillory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Dubois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dirk Dubois came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sacachispas's Sonny Storey. But to his dismay, Sonny Storey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Dirk Dubois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sonny Storey in the 69th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geoffrey Parrish during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Geoffrey Parrish kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Claude Hayes charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claude Hayes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 82 minutes into the match, Elkhorn's goal looked a bit too open when Sonny Storey came free, but Dirk Dubois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Storey in the 84th minute of play forced Elkhorn's goalkeeper Dirk Dubois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 86 minutes of play, Sacachispas's Sonny Storey made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dirk Dubois was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ollie Huntley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eldon Dennis having to interfere.
