Oscar Lacy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sacachispas's Eldon Dennis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terry Jacobsen in the 9th minute of play. Renato Irwin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eldon Dennis having to make a save. In the 14th minute of the match Woodrow Turner shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eldon Dennis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Renato Irwin made a precise shot to the right of Eldon Dennis. Sacachispas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Eldon Dennis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terry Jacobsen in the 19th minute of the match. Geoffrey Parrish hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Eldon Dennis acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 28th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Woodrow Turner. Patrick Lay charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Lay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sacachispas booed when Woodlands FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Lay didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute Wilton Guillory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Lacy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Woodlands FC's Terry Jacobsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eldon Dennis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eldon Dennis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Irwin in the 53rd minute of play. Terry Jacobsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute of the match Jonah Woodruff sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eldon Dennis skillfully saved the ball. In the 91st minute Renato Irwin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eldon Dennis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wilton Guillory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There was no doubt that Woodlands FC were the better team. Woodlands FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
