Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bailey Wooten started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute, Charles City's Rusty Hadley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Bailey Wooten kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Johnathon Gallo. That made the score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. Johnathon Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bailey Wooten in the 13th minute of the match. Norman Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Richie Keys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute Norman Bergman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richie Keys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles City's Richie Keys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman Bergman in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Mankato's goal looked a bit too open when Blake Burger came free, but Johnathon Gallo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Harry Benton made a precise shot to the right of Johnathon Gallo. Mankato's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 35 minutes into the match, Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bailey Wooten. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harry Benton got free with Johnathon Gallo in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harry Benton scored 4-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathon Gallo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
Norman Bergman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Richie Keys made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norman Bergman in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richie Keys saved Charles City from getting behind. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Richie Keys made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Norman Bergman sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harry Benton in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnathon Gallo saved Mankato from getting behind. When Bailey Wooten came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Charles City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bailey Wooten couldn't finish the play. Bailey Wooten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Bailey Wooten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathon Gallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Benton in the 92nd minute of play forced Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerry Watt charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerry Watt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mankato's Gerry Watt got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Harry Benton came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Charles City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Benton couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bailey Wooten during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Charles City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bailey Wooten to maneuver through the defense. Charles City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
