Dirk Dubois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dexter Jeffers in the 42nd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ollie Huntley made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Norman Bergman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirk Dubois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dirk Dubois dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 62nd minute, Norman Bergman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Hayes in the 66th minute of play forced Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes, Elkhorn's Logan Stockton shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Elkhorn reached it. Jeffrey Barnes kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Dirk Dubois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norman Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norman Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Dirk Dubois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mankato getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Gerardo Rhodes hit a great ball. In the 87th minute of the match Logan Stockton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnathon Gallo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dirk Dubois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norman Bergman in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Elkhorn had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
