Spectators: 7626 (Terracing: 5799, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. J.C. Eason started the match with the kick off. Asher Hunter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary Abrams having to interfere. After 8 minutes, Brice Countess mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Memphis United FC and the Coolidge players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gary Abrams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Shapiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Coolidge got a freekick which was hit by Ted Gipson. J.C. Eason struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Richard John didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coolidge. After a rather tough play, Memphis United FC's Truman Yeager got a free kick in the 20th minute. After having played for 22 minutes, Albert Downs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coolidge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Downs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Asher Hunter came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Memphis United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asher Hunter couldn't finish the play. In the 30thth minute of the game Kurt Shapiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coolidge's Gary Abrams was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kurt Shapiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Asher Hunter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gary Abrams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Coolidge's goalkeeper Gary Abrams, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albert Downs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard John having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Shapiro was the one to do the kick off. Coolidge's J.C. Eason got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gary Abrams showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asher Hunter in the 60th minute of the match. If Asher Hunter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Josh Shaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Asher Hunter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kurt Shapiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Asher Hunter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Kurt Shapiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gary Abrams. Coolidge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt Shapiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Coolidge's J.C. Eason got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Richard John made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from J.C. Eason in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Memphis United FC! In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Coolidge. Grant Ames stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Richard John. 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Memphis United FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
