Hugo Blake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard John having to interfere. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind JINAN QuanYun FC's goalkeeper Dante Saucedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. JINAN QuanYun FC's Dante Saucedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Shapiro in the 32nd minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Asher Hunter notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of JINAN QuanYun FC's Dante Saucedo. Dante Saucedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Memphis United FC's zone, Hugo Blake stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard John came out of the goal and Hugo Blake tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Stevie Brock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. Asher Hunter struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Dante Saucedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Memphis United FC. For all the effort they put into the match, the JINAN QuanYun FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Memphis United FC.
