Scot Betts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Lackey, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Lincoln Cross could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Sam Orr made a huge save. In the 12th minute Mervin Beatty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scot Betts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 minutes, Mervin Beatty mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Concond United and the Pelham players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pelham booed when Concond United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mervin Beatty didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Lincoln Cross who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Concond United's Sam Orr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Denny Zapata's late challenge caught a Concond United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Denny Zapata helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Pelham got a freekick which was hit by Denny Zapata. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mervin Beatty in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Scot Betts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lincoln Cross might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sam Orr. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lincoln Cross ran back to his position shaking his head. Pelham's Lincoln Cross got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Concond United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Barney to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Pelham booed when Concond United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Barney didn't get a good kick on the ball.
