Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mervin Beatty took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Oscar Allen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sam Orr showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sam Orr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Hubbard in the 6th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Terrance Wolf during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cookeville booed when Concond United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terrance Wolf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rupert Caballero was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cookeville's zone, Fernando Lackey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nelson Zepeda came out of the goal and Fernando Lackey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Fernando Lackey had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nelson Zepeda. Cookeville's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Lackey was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Fernando Lackey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Hector Barney managed to get in a good position for a shot. Concond United's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Barney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelson Zepeda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando Lackey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Zepeda having to interfere. The supporters of Concond United booed when Cookeville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murray Knapp didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Bishop had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sam Orr. Concond United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodolfo Bishop was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 41st minute, Eddie Hubbard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nelson Zepeda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mervin Beatty, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Rodolfo Bishop made the kick off in the second half. Fernando Lackey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Concond United's Sam Orr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Bishop in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Cookeville's Eddie Hubbard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sam Orr made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Eddie Hubbard might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sam Orr. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eddie Hubbard ran back to his position shaking his head. Sam Orr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Bishop, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Eddie Hubbard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Orr having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Concond United's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Bishop came free, but Sam Orr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Concond United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cookeville were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
