A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Archie Vance scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gary Abrams, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kip Whitt kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Gary Abrams made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hank Cavazos in the 28th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Coolidge got a freekick which was hit by Woodrow Gibson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Archie Vance in the 31st minute of play forced Coolidge's goalkeeper Gary Abrams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hank Cavazos spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Coolidge's goal. 34 minutes into the game, one of Coolidge:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Coolidge's Gary Abrams played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hank Cavazos in the 41st minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Coolidge's goal looked a bit too open when Archie Vance came free, but Gary Abrams reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for J.C. Eason to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the game, Grant Ames landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After having played for 53 minutes, Archie Vance managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Long Beach Sharks FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Archie Vance was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Archie Vance during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Long Beach Sharks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archie Vance to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Coolidge:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Long Beach Sharks FC:s goal. Hank Cavazos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hank Cavazos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gary Abrams having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hank Cavazos in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gary Abrams prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 77 played minutes Coolidge got a freekick which was hit by Ted Gipson. 78 minutes into the match, Long Beach Sharks FC's Luke Caldwell broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Archie Vance recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Archie Vance could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Gary Abrams made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hank Cavazos in the 87th minute of play forced Coolidge's goalkeeper Gary Abrams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Coolidge's goalkeeper Gary Abrams had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Archie Vance. Hank Cavazos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gary Abrams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hank Cavazos in the 96th minute of play forced Coolidge's goalkeeper Gary Abrams to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Long Beach Sharks FC's Hank Cavazos in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coolidge's goalie prevented a goal. In the 99th minute, Archie Vance made a precise shot to the right of Gary Abrams. Coolidge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6.
