Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Long Beach Sharks FC's Hank Cavazos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hank Cavazos's late challenge caught a Concond United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hank Cavazos helped the player get up and apologised. With a little luck, Long Beach Sharks FC's Mel Payne got control of the ball when Fernando Lackey tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 7 minutes, Hank Cavazos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Long Beach Sharks FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hank Cavazos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute Archie Vance shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sam Orr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Long Beach Sharks FC's Hank Cavazos got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hank Cavazos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sam Orr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Louie Michaud kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Brad Dubose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Werner Pittman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Long Beach Sharks FC's Mel Payne didn't even have to move. Long Beach Sharks FC's Mel Payne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Long Beach Sharks FC from getting a goal against them. After 29 played minutes Long Beach Sharks FC got a freekick which was hit by Stanford Bowling. Mervin Beatty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mel Payne having to interfere. After some careless play in the Concond United defense, Hank Cavazos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sam Orr. The Concond United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sam Orr should have stopped the shot. In the 40thth minute of the game Hank Cavazos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Concond United's Sam Orr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mervin Beatty was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Long Beach Sharks FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Archie Vance hit a great ball. In the 58th minute of the match Brad Dubose sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sam Orr skillfully saved the ball. Sam Orr came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Long Beach Sharks FC's Archie Vance. But to his dismay, Archie Vance quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Archie Vance who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Sam Orr when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Hector Barney fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Concond United's protests and gave Hector Barney a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Hector Barney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Barney got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Concond United getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Hector Barney hit a great ball. A long shot from Luke Caldwell in the 74th minute of play was well struck, but Sam Orr made a really good save at the right post. Sam Orr made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Archie Vance sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Concond United's Sam Orr got control of the ball when Archie Vance tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sam Orr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hank Cavazos in the 84th minute of play. A hard shot 90 in the game by Archie Vance from a close distance when the talented Sam Orr managed to make a qualified save. Concond United's players were relieved. If Fernando Lackey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Long Beach Sharks FC played a much better game than Concond United and deserved their victory. The Concond United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
