Olin Pruitt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Warner Leach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Olin Pruitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warner Leach having to interfere. Mervin LeBlanc kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Bernie Humphrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Palmer Belanger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A well placed Asher Zamora short distance shot in the 24th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Palmer Belanger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernie Humphrey in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, pirates's Bradly Myles got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When Asher Zamora came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the pirates fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asher Zamora couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Olin Pruitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Warner Leach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Beard in the 47th minute of play forced pirates's goalkeeper Warner Leach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Asher Zamora was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 52 in the game by Olin Pruitt from a close distance when the talented Warner Leach managed to make a qualified save. pirates's players were relieved. pirates's Warner Leach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Larkin in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, pirates's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Larkin came free, but Warner Leach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernie Humphrey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Palmer Belanger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Wadena FC's goal looked a bit too open when Asher Zamora came free, but Palmer Belanger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernie Humphrey took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Palmer Belanger. Palmer Belanger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Wadena FC's Mervin LeBlanc got a free kick in the 74th minute. Bernie Humphrey's late challenge caught a Wadena FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernie Humphrey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, pirates was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernie Humphrey to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Wadena FC booed when pirates was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josh Luna didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristobal Larkin in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Warner Leach saved pirates from getting behind. Warner Leach made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Olin Pruitt sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josh Luna during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to pirates getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Josh Luna hit a great ball. Warner Leach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Larkin in the 92nd minute of the match. pirates's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
