Leo Lilly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Harvey Brown made a huge save. Harvey Brown took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ward Whaley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Rodriquez during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Orland AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Johnny Rodriquez hit a great ball. In the 19th minute Orlando Ziegler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie Minton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Heriberto Daniel hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Leo Lilly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orland AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Lilly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harvey Brown breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malcolm Hills charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a little luck, Scottsdale FC's Harvey Brown got control of the ball when Leo Lilly tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rashad Cotton kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Leo Lilly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harvey Brown read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The wind increased when Ward Whaley made the kick off in the second half. Orlando Ziegler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. The Orland AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stevie Minton should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Scottsdale FC booed when Orland AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heriberto Daniel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leo Lilly might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harvey Brown. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Lilly ran back to his position shaking his head. Ward Whaley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harvey Brown having to interfere. Orlando Ziegler showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Scottsdale FC's Harvey Brown played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Lilly in the 81st minute of play. Rashad Cotton kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Orland AFC's attack was well implemented in the 85th minute, but when Leo Lilly was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Kory McKenna struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Stevie Minton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scottsdale FC. 92 minutes into the match, Orland AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Ziegler came free, but Stevie Minton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Scottsdale FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
