In the 15th minute, Lamar Ervin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eagar FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 17th minute, Rickey Ratliff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Woody Key showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Brown, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Alex Brown took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Woody Key to make any attempt to save it. After 29 played minutes South Gate Ridge got a freekick which was hit by James Allison. Lamar Ervin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Woody Key read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Lamar Ervin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Woody Key tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Woody Key took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Brown, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lamar Ervin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lamar Ervin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Woody Key having to interfere. A collision led to Eagar FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alex Brown hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sung McDermott made a kick off. Alex Brown received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Woody Key tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to South Gate Ridge getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Brown couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in South Gate Ridge's zone, Lamar Ervin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Woody Key came out of the goal and Lamar Ervin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Alex Brown had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eagar FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
