The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Esteban Adair made a kick off. If Ken Brooks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ladysmith walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
