Lamar Ervin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lane Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Eagar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Whitney Riker to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Odenton's Jason Gill got a free kick in the 30th minute. Lane Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Brown in the 38th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Jason Gill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Odenton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eagar FC the free kick. Lamar Ervin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Lane Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Brown struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Lane Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eagar FC. Rene Fountain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Allen Graham was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Eagar FC's Alex Brown ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lane Fernandez. After 62 minutes, Stanford Williams mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Odenton and the Eagar FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, one of Odenton:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Odenton. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Eagar FC. Wilbur Riker stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lane Fernandez. 0-2. In the 73rdth minute of the game Alex Brown who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Odenton's Lane Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 74 minutes, Jacob Farrell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eagar FC and the Odenton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lane Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Brown in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Brown in the 78th minute of play forced Odenton's goalkeeper Lane Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Eagar FC's zone, Rene Fountain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Virgilio Malloy came out of the goal and Rene Fountain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
