Willis Myers charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Willis Myers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 10 minutes, Douglas Weldon made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Odenton's Lane Fernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Platteville AFC's Chance Ventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allen Graham in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Jamar Webster was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Platteville AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Odenton the free kick. After 21 played minutes Platteville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jamar Webster. Allen Graham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Chance Ventura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chance Ventura made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Rene Fountain sent off a good shot on target. Alonso Peoples sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jason Gill charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jason Gill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Platteville AFC booed when Odenton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Gill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allen Graham's late challenge caught a Platteville AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Allen Graham helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Odenton getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Allen Graham hit a great ball. Douglas Weldon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

52 minutes into the game, Moises Esparza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Platteville AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Odenton the free kick. After a rather tough play, Platteville AFC's Moises Esparza got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Odenton's Johnny Hackett tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Alonso Peoples fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lane Fernandez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Odenton's zone, Alonso Peoples stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lane Fernandez came out of the goal and Alonso Peoples tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rene Fountain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Odenton fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Odenton's Allen Graham looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonso Peoples in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lane Fernandez saved Odenton from getting behind. Platteville AFC's Alonso Peoples got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Platteville AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
