The supporters of Scottsdale FC booed when Odenton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Devin Ervin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Devin Ervin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Orlando Ziegler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lane Fernandez. Odenton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Ziegler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 19th match minute, Odenton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jason Gill to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Kory McKenna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scottsdale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kory McKenna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Odenton's Lane Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kory McKenna in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Devin Ervin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th match minute, Odenton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Hackett to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Odenton's goalkeeper Lane Fernandez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A very nice done corner allowed Orlando Ziegler to score against Lane Fernandez in Odenton's goal. 0-2 after 28 minutes. Rashad Cotton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lane Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Odenton's Lane Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Ziegler in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Odenton's goalkeeper Lane Fernandez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute Rene Fountain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Brown saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Ziegler in the 44th minute of play forced Odenton's goalkeeper Lane Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Kory McKenna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lane Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando Ziegler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Scottsdale FC defense, Jason Gill kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harvey Brown. The Scottsdale FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harvey Brown should have stopped the shot. Rene Fountain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rashad Cotton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lane Fernandez having to interfere. After 69 minutes of play, Odenton's Allen Graham made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harvey Brown was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Rene Fountain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 3-3 when Rene Fountain sped through Scottsdale FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harvey Brown. 85 minutes in the game, Orlando Ziegler fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lane Fernandez having to interfere. When Orlando Ziegler came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Scottsdale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Ziegler couldn't finish the play. Kory McKenna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lane Fernandez having to interfere. Kory McKenna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Lane Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
